| Kundalini
Yoga |
Kundalini
yoga called "The Yoga of Awareness" is an active yoga which prepares
the mind and body for higher states of consciousness and deeper states
of Shuniya or silence. Parmatma will play the gong which supports
the vibratory nature of the body and its thought processes helping to
break up emotional patterning which no longer serves a more awakened
consciousness. |
| Introduction to Meditation |
Shamata Meditation is sometimes called
Mindfulness Meditation or Calming Meditation. It is called
Mindfulness Meditation because mindfulness is a main part of the
technique. It is called Calming Meditation because calmness is
one of the main results. Shamata meditation is about training
ourselves to become more comfortable with and controlled in all aspects
of our collection of body/mind components (thoughts, feelings,
perceptions, intention and awareness) and learning to recognize the
calmness, focus and clarity that is always available to us wherever we
are.
|
| Run
2 Yoga |
This class combines cardio work with
yoga. We begin the class with a short warm up. Then
participants will divide into a speedy run group, a slower but steady
run group or learn to run
group for 30 minutes of cardio work. Guided routes around the town
of Perth will be provided. All groups will meet back for deep running
related yoga
postures and a relaxation to prepare the body for the rest of the day.
This class will provide a supportive, safe, informative environment for those who want to balance their existing running routine or are interested in learning to run using a run/walk program. |
| Yoga Therapy |
Yoga therapy tailors yoga to the specific needs
of the individual. The individual does not need to meet any
requirement of fitness, age or health to start a yoga program. In
order to properly address focused health issues, a yoga therapist will
often utilize yoga "tools" such as: postures, breath regulation,
meditative practices, visualizations, and relaxation techniques.
The tools are particularly effective in helping individuals become
physically stronger, improve sleep, manage stress, cope with anxiety
and depression, increase energy levels, make lifestyle changes, and
address negative thoughts and behaviours.
